Such an awesome cause…anywho….the start of the waffle hat I’m making by straight needle.

I’m using Patons Classic Wool Merino (100% pure new wool), as it is much warmer than acrylic yarns. Obviously, the color is dark grey and the needle size=8. I think I’m going to also make one in black and a dark green as well. I bought the yarn. I just have to make them.

Irish Hiking Wristwarmers – Part 2

Um, yeah…I already wrote about this once today….But I have them half done, much to my recipient’s surprise, I am sure. They are not yet blocked or seamed but here is the first wristwarmer. And please forgive the bad quality of the photo. It’s late and I’m not great with photo shop when it’s late!

I just need to block these to shape them a bit and them sew a seam! Then, move on to #2. These are taking a lot of concentration. In fact, the cast on and first row?? I redid three times to make sure it was close to perfection. Now I’m going to bed.
