Panic Mode. . .

In October, I bought the very last skein of Harrisville Flax&Wool (color: Thistle) at my local yarn store. I knew I MIGHT need two, so they offered to order me a second one that day. I declined, because I wasn’t entirely sure. I am currently working on a scarf for my boyfriend’s sister-in-law, pattern: King Charles Brocade (pretty generic really). I haven’t posted a pic, because for one, it’s a dark yarn and tough to see the pattern. . .And I really wanted to get a pic when it’s done.
Whatever. . .anyway, so I ordered a second skein a couple of weeks ago. I called the store to check on it. They informed me — that it is backordered. Could be another week or more, but shouldn’t be more than a week. Ok, yes, I know, it’s not yet December, but I was hoping to not have to crunch in finishing my Christmas projects at the last minutes. We’re going to be buried in holiday get-togethers from Dec 22-25. There’s no way I’ll have even two seconds during those days to finish up anything. I am now screaming inside.
That is all.
Oh, I so want to make these. . .
Whenever I get good enough to make something like this. . .I’m going to make them for my little cousin Ilee. . .she might be 2 by the time she gets them, but whatever.
Maybe I’ll also make a seperate pair for myself. Ha ha…

Making a blanket for my cousin, Ilee, for Christmas. It’s barely even half way done and I have no clue when it will BE done, but again, I’ll post a picture when it is complete.

My rendition of the Lion Brand Basketweave scarf I used Caron Simply Soft and size 8 needles. I only used 1 skein of yearn, cheap! Lol. . .
This was my very first finished project, mid October. I was very excited about this project!

Forgive the mess!
This is the first day this blog has been up, so please excuse the mess. I’ve been playing around with the layout! Thanks for visiting, by the way. . .

I made these for my sister for Christmas. It was my first project of the sort. I used size needles and used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee brand Icelandic Jewels in peridot. Because I don’t know how to knit yet in the round, I basically just knitted a little rectangle about 7 inches long and sewed a seam leaving a hole for the thumb. Not very exciting, but for a 13 year old girl, she should enjoy them.
Good Ole Cable Scarf

I have no clue how I found this pattern. I think I just googled “Easy Cable Scarf” one day. I wanted to make something especially unique for Trent’s sister for Christmas. This yarn is Plymouth Yarn Suri Alpaca (55% alpaca, 45% fine merino wool) and I used size 8 needles.
This is only about half way done and when it is completed, I will post a picture of the entire thing.
The pattern is found here:
